I believe that a better education now means better problem solving in the future.
What if a whole generation of children in a number of countries did not get that education. What would they do if whole populations could not read or write. What if they did not know about what was going on in the world except for what a select few told them that may or may not be the truth? How would people survive? The sad fact as many of us know is that this is true in pockets of the world and what happens ... bloody wars start, poverty, illness, low survival rates. I hate this and I have wanted to do something since the days I started reading newspapers and paying attention to world events (maybe 7 or 8 years old). When I was young I was always told ... when you grow up ... when I grew up ... life always had a way of getting in the way. Extra money is not something many have these days, but there are other things we can do. One way, use our own talents. And that is how Essays For Hope has come about.
We may not all be able to help financially and give thousands and thousands of dollars to those in need, but what about donating a piece of writing, a story from your heart. The Essays For Hope anthologies will hold stories of hope, humour, heatwarming inspiration, the list could go on and on. What about buying an e-book for $5 or a print copy for $10, a perfect gift for someone you love. That is how Essays For Hope will help children around the world get the education they need, to make this world a better place for future generations.
